1969
MAKING PACKAGING.
Grifal Technologies is the Business Unit of the Grifal Group – active since 1969 in the packaging market – that designs and manufactures intelligent machines and cutting-edge technologies for packaging automation with the aim of accompanying companies in the Digital & Packaging Transformation process, contributing in a concrete way to the technological and industrial growth of the sector.
Grifal Technologies merges into a single entity the parent company Grifal’s know-how in protective packaging, Mondaplen Tech’s patented corrugation technologies, and the international experience in gluing machines of Tecno Incollaggi, acquired by the Grifal Group in 2019.
1975
THE FIRST AUTOMATIC CUTTER
This story of tradition and innovation began in the 1970s with Grifal’s first original signature machine: an automatic cutter capable of processing up to 50,000 cardboard shelves per hour, a first in efficiency and precision.
At the same time, the company initiated its first experiments in high-quality printing on cardboard and introduced its first Japanese automatic die-cutting machine into production, anticipating trends and standards that would become central to the packaging industry.
2000
THE ONDULATORS.
Prompted by international customers, the first corrugators for expanded polyethylene (PE) took shape in the 2000s, a real revolution for protective packaging: flexibility, light weight, improved cushioning effect, raw material saving.

THE NEW CORRUGATED CARDBOARD
Anticipating the market direction that points to environmentally friendly materials and sustainability, the development of lines dedicated to corrugating and paper converting began in 2016.
And this is how cArtù, the new corrugated board that is even more environmentally friendly, was born. All these innovations mark the beginning of a clear strategy: to differentiate the offer through technology, bringing to the market machines and solutions capable of generating a real competitive advantage for customers. Since then, the propensity for research, experimentation and continuous development has become the hallmark that still defines Grifal Technologies’ identity.
